After high school, she joined the Army and served for 5 years, achieving the rank of sergeant. She then earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education and taught school locally. Desiring a change of careers, Priscilla requested the scholarship to help pay for her textbooks in the College of the Florida Keys nursing program.
